IDLY PODI upma / 5min Lunch box recipe

Preparation time: 5 min      cooking time: 5 min       serves: 2

Ingredients:

  1. Leftover idlys – 3
  2. Salt to taste

Crumble the idly’s before starting the recipe

For tampering:

  1. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  2. Urad dal – 1 tsp
  3. Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  4. Asafoetida powder – 1 pinch
  5. Onion – 1/2
  6. Molaga podi/idly podi (Home made/store brought) – 2 tbsp
  7. Oil – 1/2 tbsp

Preparation:

  • Take a tawa and smear some oil
  • After when it is heated enough add the mustard seeds
  • When it has spluttered add the urad dal , curry leaves , asafoetida
  • Add the onions saute well and add the crumbled idly
  • Add the idly podi and saute until the aroma comes out

 

  • Done! Our tasty! Mouth watering!! molagapodi idly upma is READY!!!
