Street Style COCONUT chutney/ Thengai chutney for bajji idly dosa

Ingredients:

For grinding:

  1. Coconut – 1 cup
  2. Garlic – 1 or 2
  3. Onion – 1 tbsp (Chopped)
  4. Red chilly – 4 or 5
  5. Roasted gram/Pottukadalai – 1 tbsp
  6. Tamarind – a bit
  7. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Water to grind

For seasoning:

  1. Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  2. Urad dal – 1 tsp
  3. Curry leaf – 1/2 a sprig
  4. Asafoetida – a pinch
  5. Onion – 1 tbsp (Chopped)

Preparation:

  • Just Put everything in a blender
  • Grind it into a paste
  • Take it out add check the salt
  • Add lemon juice
  • Mix well and season it with the seasoning ingredients
  • Have it with dosa,idly,bajji’s or roti too
