Peas Pulao / pattani saadham

Preparation time: 5 mins          Cooking time: 15 mins          serves: 3

When guests come to our house this is an awesome dish to make in a limited time and a delicious full filling recipe


  1. Bay leaf – 1
  2. Cinnamon – 1
  3. Cardamom – 2
  4. Clove – 3 or 4
  5. Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
  6. Onion – 1
  7. Green chilly – 3 or 4
  8. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  9. Peas (Fresh/Frozen) – 3 cups
  10. Mint leaves – few
  11. Coriander leaves – few
  12. Lemon juice – Few drops
  13. Biriyani rice – 2 cups
  14. water – 5 cups
  15. Salt – to taste



  • Add some oil and the whole garam masalas to the cooker
  • Add the onions and green chillies saute well and add in the ginger garlic paste
  • Saute well until the raw flavor is all gone add little salt
  • Add in the peas and saute a bit and then the mint leaves and coriander leaves
  • Now add the rice and give it a mix and add water to it


  • Check the salt and add squeeze in some lemon juice
  • If you need more spice u can add some more green chillies
  • Close the cooker and allow the steam to come and put on the weight and leave it for about the three whistles
  • READY the delicious awesome looking peas pulao.
