Jeeraga sambha TOMATO RICE

Preparation time: 5 mins        cooking time:15 mins        serves: 3

Ingredients:

  1. Onion – 1
  2. Tomato – 2
  3. Green chilli – 3 or 4
  4. Ginger garlic paste – 2 spoons
  5. Mint leaf – 3 or 4
  6. Jeera sambha rice – 2 cups
  7. Bay leaf – 1
  8. Cinnamon sticks – 1
  9. Clove – 2 or 3
  10. Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Water – 3 cup
  13. oil for seasoning

Measurement : 1 cup rice and 1 1/2 cup water

Preparation:

  • Pour some oil for seasoning
  • When its hot enough add the whole garam masalas
  • Then add the onion and saute it well
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and saute until raw flavor is all gone
  • Add the tomatoes and mint leaves to it and give it a stir

  • Then add in the rice and water
  • Stir it well and add salt and check it and close the cooker
  • leave for 3 whistles and ready to serve
  • Have it with some ritha tastes really good like biriyani.
